Symptoms

Symptoms Description General weakness, fatigue, mental exhaustion, low-grade fever, debility following acute illness, surgery, or chronic disease. May include qi deficiency with heat signs in TCM perspective.
Diagnosis Clinical assessment based on patient history of recent illness or stress; evaluation of energy levels, immune function, and nutritional status. No specific lab test; rule out ongoing infection or other pathology.

Treatment

Conventional Treatment Rest, balanced nutrition, physical therapy, gradual return to activity, psychological support. May include nutritional supplements such as vitamin B complex, vitamin D, iron if deficient. In severe cases, monitored rehabilitation programs.
Herbal Treatment Adaptogenic and tonic herbs including Panax quinquefolius (American ginseng) to tonify qi and yin, generate fluids, and calm the spirit; Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha); Astragalus membranaceus; Rhodiola rosea; Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi); Schisandra chinensis.
